A Picture Take Earlier Today in Minnesota.

This From Bogue

A few days after I started feeling better I noticed my pets putting stuff in something they call a suit case. I always know what that means. They got up early the next day and have been gone since. Today is the second day. The woman behind us makes sure I have enought to eat and plenty of fresh water but it is not the same. I am so sad that all I want to do is lay with my head on my paws by the front door til they come home. Maybe this evening.

From Lucky

Doesn't she know I can pee on her carpet!!

The other picture if of my stupid next door neighbor. You know how Seinfeld says "Newman"? Well, that is the way everyone says "Jaycee" s name A very high strung, obnoxious dog she is. Has a very high pitched, nervous bark which she uses frequently. She also tries to "herd" everything that moves, from particles of dust to mosquitos. All the while barking in the high pitched, nervous, @#$chy pitch that she uses. Even being the manly pimp that I am I wouldn't court her if she was the last female on the planet. She cannot sit still for a moment, as observed by the blurry picture that I made. She actually was "sent off" for a short while. The hairless ones that she stays with were never quite clear about where she went. Nobody really cared enough to press for accurate details; we just knew it was much more peaceful on the hilltop. Any way, she returned after about 3 nice months, hyperactive and irritating as usual. Right back to her old ways, chasing every car that moves up and down the trail on the hilltop. Every time Jaycee begins to herd the cars while they travel on the trail we all have to join in with her, we are not near as quick as she and are actually putting ourselves in great danger but letting the female herd by herself makes all the rest of us appear as though we aren't doing our job so she forces our hand. I really wish someone would need her services elsewhere. She wears the rest of us out trying to show us up. I wish she would follow me to a coyote party; it might calm her down and do her good. She is so type A however that she won't leave the hilltop after dark even for a good party. Which by the way, I have been to several the last few nights, I'll tell you about those at another time. Hence, the reason the hairless female got my picture this morning; I was sleeping too deeply to care

Lucky's Pet's Litter

Lucky's pet still has not had her litter. The pet they call the Grandmother is anxiously waiting. Since the expecting pet lives several states away the arrival will require a trip there. Would be good if the little one knew how many were looking forward to his birth.

The Pet And I Prepare For A Garden

As you can see we were preparing the ground for a garden. My reponsibility was to protect the pet from attack. I did my job well and he was safe. You never know when a squirrel might turn on you. Of course there had to have been other creatures out there but they knew better than to test me so we did not see any of them. You don't see Roscoe because he was off loafing. I hope to heavens he was not digging more holes. We got away with that one but must not push our luck.

Sent By Lucky About Some Pets

A mom was concerned about her kindergarten son walking to school. He didn't want his mother to walk with him. She wanted to give him the feeling that he had some independence yet know that he was safe.

So she had an idea of how to handle it.

She asked a neighbor if she would please follow him to school in the mornings, staying at a distance so he wouldn't notice her.
The neighbor said that since she was up early with her toddler anyway, it would be a good way for them to get some exercise as well, so she agreed.

The next school day, the neighbor and her little girl set out following behind Timmy as he walked to school with another neighbor girl he knew. She did this for the whole week.

As the two walked and chatted, kicking stones and twigs, Timmy's little friend noticed the same lady was following them as she seemed to do every day all week. Finally she said to Timmy, 'Have you noticed that lady following us to school all week? Do you know her?'

Timmy nonchalantly replied, 'Yeah, I know who she is.'

The little girl said, 'Well, who is she?'

'That's just Shirley Goodnest,' Timmy replied, 'and her daughter Marcy.'

'Shirley Goodnest? Who the heck is she and why is she following us? '

'Well,' Timmy explained, 'every night my Mom makes me say the 23rd Psalm with my prayers, 'cuz she worries about me so much. And in the Psalm, it says, 'Shirley Goodnest and Marcy shall follow me all the days of my life', so I guess I'll just have to get used to it!'

The female came into my bedroom this morning at an unGodly hour before the birds were even up, was laughing and woke me up right before a bright light flashed in my eyes. I barely had time to sit up and look alert. I then discover that she has put my image on the blog. I do believe she was trying to make an image of my "big pimping" posture while I sleep. I'll show her; she'll never catch it again. The next image is my neighbor, Rudy. I tolerate her but the male and female don't like her at all. She loves to use their yard as her toilet. I return the favor at the place that she stays. Rudy really has quite the attitude, she thinks she actually owns the entire hilltop where we all eat & rest. She never snarls or growls, she just struts and cuts her eyes over to the side and looks at you. I find it quite attractive, although she is much too large for me to court. The small, wiry coyotes are much more to my liking. Rudy is what some would call a "big boned gal". I believe Roscoe would find her to be "fire" as the young hairless ones say. I'll bet her and Babe wouldn't get along.

Bogue's Neighbor

This is my next door neighbor. My pet calls him Lonely Boy because he stands at the fence and demands attention. I call him exceptionally needy and a little annoying. Well at least he is not snarling and growling.

This is Bogue

Bogue will be 8 in pet years December 15. His usually is very friendly but is not feeling well right now. One of his ears is hurting and his nose is running. Allergies? He loves visitors and also loves to have his chin, belly and behind his ears scratched and he will lay on your feet til you do this. But as you can tell from the top picture, he just does not feel well. Maybe he will feel better tomorrow. One funny thing about Bogue is when he is really tired he snores and talks in his sleep. His pet made a video of him snoring. Bogue does not like shrimp, tomatoes or mean people - he can spot non-caring attitudes really quick and he steers clear of them. He really only likes about 3 people. - He hates the rain - would lay under the bed all day if it rains - he holds his pee all day if it rains -
He loves rides & little kids - If the boat pulls away from the house - he has to be in it or he pouts all day if he thinks his pet went fishing without him - he barks when a fish is pulled in and licks em for a while then jumps back up near the trolling motor and tries to see them in the water for hours at a time

Earthquakes

I am hearing something about an earthquake. Not sure what that is but I overheard one of Lucky's pets talking about something an elementary school student told her about an earthquake in Washington State. Said he (the student) knew something was going on when the teacher was standing at the front of the class and her butt started shaking.

From Tom

I am absolutely about to give up on that woman I share a place with. First of all I go to the trouble to chase down this creature that hop, hop, hops around and carry it to her and she is not home. Gone for several days with no warning. Left my food and water out on the porch again. Every once in a while a neighbor comes out and calls my name but I have nothing to do with her. Who does she think she is? Then the lady and precious dark haired girl and little blond girl show up. The lady is a strange pink/red color. I am so excited (although I dare not show it) that I chase down another hop, hop, hoppy thing for her and she starts shrieking at me to let it go. Go figure.
Father has been away for a while and is supposed to return tomorrow. About time we had another male figure around here. They are getting to be way too much for me.

Trip

Lucky and Tom's pets and one of my favorite pets and her mom are all involved in a strange ritual. They do this a few times a year. They go to "the beach". They all get in a vehicle and drive several hours and stay a few days and come home. When they are planning to go they are not real excited but don't want to stay home either. Then they come home all red and ill and complaining. They never carry any of us so we don't understand it. If they come back with pictures I will let you see them.

The Other Pet

This is not good. The other pet was walking across the yard and stepped in a hole and fell and rolled down a small incline. She is a rather large person. She was carried to the ER (vet) and came home limping with a stick under each arm. Not good.
One really bad thing about it is that it was so funny we barked and wagged out tails.
The other bad thing is Roscoe dug the hole. It had filled up with leaves and was difficult to see.
I hope there are no consequences for me and Roscoe. We both know how to look contrite so maybe that will work.

Sore finger

One of my pets had to go to what they call the ER about 4 this morning. Late yesterday afternoon he was trimming a large shrub and cut his finger. Just sliced a chunk back. Put some medicine on it and wrapped it up. Thought it was going to be all right. Around 4 am he woke up and noticed the wrapping was bloody and he could not get the bleeding to stop. He and the other pet went to the emergency room (whatever that is) and had a vet sew it back together. He is ill enough this morning that I had just as soon he stay in the house.

Rambling

My pet likes to do what he calls fiddling for worms. He takes a saw and a bucket out in the woods and saws a small tree down. Then he takes the saw and slowly saws along the top of the stump. That usually causes earthworms to come up out of the ground. He and Roscoe and I went for him to do that today. No worms but we had fun. I have included some pictures of what we saw. Notice the bee on the spiked flower. The lake had to have been rain fed because it was at the top of a mountain.

Tom Is A Feline Acquaintance And Likes To Pretend He is British.

Well…that poor ridiculous woman of mine has her knickers in a bunch. It’s no one’s fault but her own. She locked me in the bloody garage again, thus I pissed in her vehicle. Right in the aparatus where her small child sits. I have quite had enough of her and the small child. I will be more than delighted when Father and the kind girl return. Woman summoned me to return to home on Friday eve, and I was on my way, but before I could saunter into her home I was closed inside of that dreadful room with the concrete floor. How on earth she expects me to sleep in there is beyond me. Payback is Hades and so I knew just how to torcher the woman, as my tokens of appreciation to her are usually met with shrill screams and minor cursing. I brought her a lizard. Shrill screaming and cursing ensued. As happened with the lovely mouse. Unfortunately for me, she had an acquaintance in her home who captured my gift and disposed of it. Foiled again. I have watched the woman using some sort of apparatus to spray water into the seat of the vehicle and then she leans to sniff it (she’s rather disturbed I do believe) and then she looks at me and curses again, so I must have struck some sort of nerve with her. She has placed food and water containers on the back sitting area, and she thinks that I will be like a dog and eat out of doors. She is in for it, because I will not stoop to the level of a stupid canine. My constant whining and crying will surely have her allowing me inside to eat and sleep, and if she’s lucky I will bring in a squirrel. Which she probably won't appreciate either. Father would never allow this foolishness to occur. Father cares for me. Since the woman took me to the clinic and had me violated, Father has taken a particular liking to me. He says something about spending all that money on me and I shall be kept inside. I pay him no mind, but I do think he has good ideas occasionally. Oh, dear, the doorbell is ringing…allow me to investigate…

Son of a … !! I do believe she had that planned. A neighbor was calling and brought with him a **** mastiff puppy. I arched my back and hissed, and that stupid canine just proceeded to lick me. I was terrified if I attacked him he would eat me. I was stuck and the woman just laughed at me. I shall get her. Oh yes, she shall pay.

Cold

It is COLD today. Roscoe and I may have to stay close in the house to stay warm. The pet put some straw in there a while back that helps some. He also put some stuff called comforters that I heard he got a yard sales. Roscoe did not like them and tore them open and spread the insides all over the place. Was quite a mess.
Did not expect this cold once the flowers came out. There has even been some sleet.

Lucky About His Pets

The other adult female and the short, loud blonde pets came to visit last night. The gentle, quiet, tall dark haired female who lives with them didn't come with them this time. She doesn't come with them sometimes They have plenty of food available and she does seem too young to care for a mate so I can't figure out why she isn't with her clan unit a great deal of the time. Anyway, they don't seem to be concerned so I'm not going to worry about it and she always shows back up. Maybe she is just the wandering type. The short blonde made a great deal of noise and entertained the older male & female as usual. She is three years old in pet years. Sometimes she can provoke the male to make loud, nasally sounding screams, usually making her squirt water out of her eyes and make quite the howl to go along with it. He always pets her and makes quite the scene afterwards and everything is fine, but her being here always makes me nervous. Occasionally I hear the adult male make those same noises toward the adult female that we share our place to eat and rest with. The adult female doesn't squirt water from her eyes when he does however, she usually uses vocabulary in response that I don't hear often enough to understand and has a look in her eyes that makes me think she is going to bite. Sometimes that is all that happens but it if escalates the female gets into her machine and leaves Afterwards the male always plays his box that he sits in front of that has moving pictures on it very loud until she gets back. I can always tell how serious things are between them by whether or not he turns the box off when she arrives back at the place. It he continues to play it loud the female continues to use the vocabulary that I don't understand but thankfully he doesn't hear her over the box. Most of the time they share this place in a quite companionable spirit; them being here together doesn't make me nervous like when the short blonde visits, but when the male gets that nasal tone I do make myself scarce. I hear the female nosing around; must get off the computer

Nice Quiet Day

Roscoe and I just spent our day resting. I have not been paying much attention but I thought we were headed toward warm weather. Lots of stuff blooming such pretty colors. But today the weather has been much cooler. I like warm better.
My pets both left earlier today and did not return til about dark. I don't know where they go but I wish sometimes they would take us with them. We always bark a lot and swish our tails to make sure they know we are glad they came back.

Roscoe

Yesterday our pet drove around the yard on something that threw rocks. grass and dirt all over the place. Crazy. Also made the grass shorter. Today Roscoe is in a pout. Says the stuff flying around made him feel bad. But he also loafed with his buddies til late. You decide.

From Lucky

Help me choose a picture. I am going to open a My space and a Facebook account. The male & female pets that I share my place to rest with don't know what I do on the computer while they're out doing whatever it is they do. I wonder if they have some type of bark alarm like we do that signals when a party is nearby? I find it interesting that the male and female rarely leave together; maybe they don't like to party together? Anyway, I overheard the female stating that she won't be going to "work" next week so that may hamper my time available to get on the computer and open my accounts. Work........wonder what that involves? Female seems to be in quite the rush most days of the week when the sun is barely above the horizon to get to this place called "work". She arrives back at the place we rest a good while later in the day and doesn't have much verbal communication with myself or the male after that time of the day. It's always nice when she doesn't verbally communicate :) Male is in and out a good portion of the day, His schedule is very unpredictable but he doesn't bother me nearly as much as the female. He's not near as demanding either. He will overlook when I'm on the couch and pretends not to see me. Opps, female is nearby I've got to go. PS let me know which picture is the most flattering and will get My Space buzzing.

A Warning From Lucky' sPet

I received a very official appearing email from IRS.gov. with a very official looking form attached. The attached form says that I'm owed a refund for the past couple of years and wanted me to fill out the form and return via email I'm always very skeptical, especially when something requests personal info but was VERY tempted to fill it out and send it in, because the refund was close to what tax man said that we were owed. Anyway, called my tax man and was told that it was a SCAM that IRS would never contact me via email and they had been receiving lots of calls about it. BEWARE. Some people don't want to work.........

I Don't Understand This But Maybe You Will

Three women die together in an accident and go to heaven.

When they get there, St. Peter says, “We only have one rule here in heaven: don’t step on the ducks!”

So they enter heaven, and sure enough, there are ducks all over the place. It is almost impossible not to step on a duck, and although they try their best to avoid them, the first woman accidentally steps on one.

Along comes St. Peter with the ugliest man she ever saw.

St. Peter chains them together and says, “Your punishment for stepping on a duck is to spend eternity chained to this ugly man!”

The next day, the second woman accidentally steps on a duck and along comes St. Peter, who doesn’t miss a thing. With him is another extremely ugly man. He chains them together with the same admonishment as for the first woman.

The third woman has observed all this and, not wanting to be chained for all eternity to an ugly man, is very, VERY careful where she steps.

She manages to go months without stepping on any ducks, but one day St. Peter comes up to her with the most handsome man she has ever laid eyes on … very tall, long eyelashes, muscular, and thin.

St. Peter chains them together without saying a word.

The happy woman says, “I wonder what I did to deserve being chained to you for all of eternity?”

The guy says, “I don’t know about you, but I stepped on a duck!”

Guess Which is Near My House And Which Is Near Denver

Graveyard

Every other day or so Roscoe and I take our pet for a walk to a lake near our house. My pet found some stones on the ground near the lake and I heard him tell someone that they were grave headstones. They were very old. Apparently when pets die they are put in the ground and a rock put there to mark the place. These rocks were all broken up and must have been run over by a machine. He did not know any of the pets there but I could tell the broken stones made him very sad.

From Lucky. Lucky's Profile Can Be Viewed On A March 22 Blog

I’m being punished for something. My female biped is mentally off balance and I never know what to expect from her. She went into the place that has water coming from a spout and ordered me inside. She’s done it before and I knew what she had planned so I rolled onto my back and showed her my stuff, hoping she would realize that I was boss and couldn’t be ordered around. She wasn’t impressed; literally she picked me up, totally disregarding my “big pimping” posture and held me under the waterspout, all the while pouring soap on me and lathering my impressive smelling coat. I tried to escape several times but she continued the torture; I really don’t know what I have done and it was such a cruel ordeal. She had no sympathy, she is truly a cold #$%. I would run away if the food and lodging was not so good. How I wish I could communicate so that I could tell the male biped. I know he wouldn’t allow it. After the ritual abuse was complete I laid in front of the male and looked pitiful; however I never could get any sympathy. I don’t know why he shares his castle with that female, we would be just fine without her! Surely he could smell the torturous odor that was coming from my coat I believe Female biped wants me to be unpopular with the coyotes! I continually hear her discussing something with the male about my luck changing, I so wish she would butt out and treat me like the kingly “big pimp” that I am.

Overheard My Pets Talking

My pets were talking about something that happened in Church this morning. During the service the preacher mentioned a young man in the congregation and asked him to stand. He was given a standing ovation. He was home from Iraq and on his way to Afghanistan. He was not in uniform. He was glad to see everybody and appreciated the welcome home. There was a couple sitting with him that appeared to be his parents. They looked rather stressed.
I don't know what this was about but I do hear Iraq mentioned occasionally in subdued voices. I know that one of Lucky's pets went there and everybody was glad when he came home. I know because although they don't have tails to wag they do the wide mouth thing.

Prom Night

All dressed up for an evening at the prom.

View from My House

Rainy dreary day. The rain has stopped so we are not shut up in the house. This is our view from our house. Isn't it wonderful? Those are dogwood trees and an azalea. I will make another picture when the sun is shining.
Roscoe is getting bored and therefore annoying so we must come up with something to keep him occupied and use up some of that energy. Haven't decided on anything yet.

One of my favorite pets is going to the school prom tomorrow night. I don't really know what that is but will post pictures. I understand they will dress up very spiffy and ride around in something called a limo.

Weather

I think a tornado went over our yard this afternoon. It got very dark about 4 pm and there was some hail. I was told that somebody to our east and also somebody south of us saw tornadoes. I did not see anything as I was trying to stick my nose under Roscoe's stomach and he was doing the same thing to my stomach. Fortunately there was no touchdown nor damage anywhere around us.

Roscoe's Jealousy

Something has been bothering me for a while now and I have just now put my finger on it. I have had my pet for 6 years now and Roscoe has been with us for 3 years. It was a nice pleasant time for the first 3 years. Don't get me wrong. Roscoe and I get along as well as can be expected but any time the pet pays me any attention Roscoe is right there in the middle of everything. So jealous he can't stand it. And of course the pet is oblivious. We NEVER go anywhere just the two of us.

My Pet Finally Does What She Should

I had been complaining to Ann about how I had not seen about my SS class president. She suggested that I get some flowers and go see her and never mention that I had neglected her and I did. Bless her heart, the woman was so grateful.

I mentioned that for a long time Denise would scramble around in front of me to make sure there was nothing I could stumble over so she would not have to go through that again. =) Janie’s daughter was there working in the yard and she laughed as if to say I understand that. I thought darlin this is just day one for you. I think there is just the one daughter.

She was cleaning out the flower bed. I thought that was above the call of duty. Janie’s son died in Dallas last year, she had knee replacement surgery and a heart attack last fall. Still can laugh.

Not Good News From Lucky's pet

Gene’s dad had a very bad day yesterday. I got home from work and Gene said that he had stayed with him until about 10:00 that morning. Gene said that he had been having seizures all night long that didn’t stop until 10:00 when he went to sleep. However, I went to see about him about 4:00 yesterday afternoon, cause he’d been there by himself since 10:00 that morning, and he seemed to be fine, just a little slurred talking.

Gene's Dad has melanoma and the doctors say there is nothing else they can do for him. Gene's Mother died of cancer not too many years ago.

Me and one of my friends, Jane, were going to Phephe's to get some makeup when we saw someone almost committ suicide. I was on Uncle Pen rd. and i didnt even think to turn by Trinity and i just keep on going.. Telling Jane stuff about how I use to go to Trinity and all. When I almost got to the 4 way stop there was an ambulance and a firetruck and some police at this house and they were all staring at the woods and something in a tree caught my eye. I realized before i passed the house it was a man. There was a man shirtless in one of the tallest trees around just sitting up there all slumped over. (Still not even realizing I had passed Phephe's road) So we turned around in someones driveway, and drove back. We didnt get what was going on. but finally we figured out he was about to committ suicide. Then I remembered I had passed Phephes road so i had to go back by the house and there was a man that had climbed in the tree apparently trying to talk the man out of it. So hopefully he did and everything is okay with the man.

Recession, This From Babe's Pet

There has been some debate about whether or not this country is in a recession or for how long it has been in one. Those of us who live close to where the rubber meets the road have had no doubt for a while. When whether or not something is a bargain is determined by how far you have to drive for it you know something isn't right. We have a group of friends who are involved in horseshoe tournaments across our state. Some of them will not be able to attend tournaments because of what it will cost them in gas to get there and back. When diesel fuel reaches $4.00 a gallon you know everything that is hauled by trucks fueled by diesel will cost more you know something is not right. The only people who question this is people with enough money that they are not aware of any difference. Or government officials who live on our dollar.

I feel so sorry for a lady that I work with. Her son goes to school at Ardmore. He’s a very gifted basketball player. Won player of the year this past season for Ardmore. Has been offered 3 college scholarships. Found out yesterday he didn’t pass the graduation exam. Can’t get the scholarships now. His mom is devastated. Two older siblings have kids by other people, not married, neither working, all living at home. He’s the child she hoped would get out of the ‘hood’. Now doesn’t look like he will due to a darn test that he can’t pass. She said he is so discouraged, cried last night and wouldn’t get out of bed this morning to go to school. More of our fed govt. getting involved in stuff that isn’t their business. Grad tests sound real good in the news. I remember when I was in high school a guy was a couple of years older than me. Everybody said he didn’t know how to read. I don’t know if he graduated or not but why should it be up to some state test to determine that? If the kid shows up and works enough that the teachers feel he should pass who’s to say. I worked with a guy at Groton had a great personality and was a very intelligent man. I seriously doubt he knew how to read but he always managed to get stuff read to him without actually asking you to read it. Smart man; I worked with him 16 years and he pulled it off the entire time.

I am very disappointed in one of my pets. The president of her Sunday School class tripped over a garden hose and fell on cement breaking her hip. My pet's daughter just called and told him they were in the group on the field trip to Chattanooga that had the bus turn over on its top. His grandaughter was on one of the buses, not the one that turned over, and his daughter and son in law were following in their car. The daughter said it was pretty scary not knowing if the bus in the wreck was the one the grandaughter was on or not. They were really lucky from the looks of the bus pictures in the paper and on the internet that more people were not hurt..

From My Atlanta Friend About His Pet

My pet was planning on going to a Scamp Camp up near Chattanooga this week end but the weatherman predicted rain so he did not go. Been sunny so far all day so I guess he will miss a good campout and meeting other Scampers. Darn weathermen.

The pet and a friend went up to Redtop Mountain State Park on Lake Altoona last weekend and had a good time. He hope to get in a lot of camping this year. Maybe I can go along sometines.

He got his new camera yesterday and I think he will like it if he ever learns how to use it. The instruction manual is over 200 pages long, and yeah, you know he is looking forward to reading that. He probably should have gotten one of those disposable $7 jobs at Walmart and been done with it. But once he masters the new one it should be fun.
Maybe he can send you a photo of me.

Sometimes Roscoe can be exceptionally hateful. As you know there is a considerable difference in our ages. He keeps telling me that you know you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks. I was very hurt.

Strawberry Cobbler

Overheard some pets talking about something they were eating. Said they mixed a box of fresh strawberries, stick of melted butter and box of Jiffy cake mix and baked it for about 30 minutes. They sliced the strawberries first. They were so excited about how it tasted. I don't understand. Just give me something to eat with liver in it and I am happy.

Neighbor

For crying out loud. Roscoe is in a pout again. He thinks I am too interested in that creature next door.
Of course I have not been able to learn anything about him since when he runs loose I am confined. Will not give up that easy. Roscoe can just deal with it.

Bad Day

My pet, Julious, (I am not making this up) had to go to the doctor(vet)today. He stuck a fish hook in his hand and had to push it on out and cut off the barb. Think he said he would get a tetnus shot? He also found a tic attached to his arm when he got ready for bed. Not a good day for him but I think their medical facilities and arrangements are a lot better than ours.

New Neighbor

Is this not a fine looking creature? The picture does not really do him justice. Shiny coat. Lots of energy. I don't know anything about him because he has not been there long but you can be sure I will find out.

Luckie

Name Lucky Boy/ AKA Big Pimping
DOB Fall 2006
Favorite Song: Rambling Man/ Allman Brothers
Hobbies/Pastimes: Sleeping, eating, ramblin'

General info: Lucky is a lady's dog. He isn't really a "man's man" but all the male dogs want to be him. He is a "good boy" but knows how to live "right on the edge." Lucky loves to sleep in his warm. soft bed at night but knows he can sleep when he's old, so he never turns down a party when he hears one going on at night. Just about nightly, when the local coyotes start partying Lucky hears all the "goings on" and can't stand it. I've had a talk with him about the old adage of changing your luck, but Lucky ain't hearing it. He's got to be let out just about every night. I suppose he gets turned down though because he's usually back within the hour. But a dog only lives once and I'm not going to make him gay (like his cousin) and everyone knows who I'm talking about

House

Roscoe and I need a new dog house. Can you believe this? Our pet means well but it is very uncomfortable in extreme weather.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
Babe.

New Pet Expected.

One of Luckie's pets is expecting a litter next month. Litter is not the right word because they usually have theirs one at a time. They are expecting a male although I am suspicious about how they know. I hear they rub something over the Mother's belly and and it shows a picture on a box somewhere and that is how they tell. Yeah right. Sometimes I am just amazed at what they believe or tell.

Roscoe Pouting

Unfortunately Roscoe has a tendency to pout. He came home from loafing last night in a pout which continues today. Pouting on my birthday is not a good move.

Bandit

This is Bandit. He is a sweet quadraped but what can I say? He lives in his pet's house for God's sake. I mean inside the house. The thing you see on his neck? Electronic fence. Mention Ole' Roy to him and he doesn't have a clue. Roscoe's cousin of course.

Roscoe

This is Roscoe. He is 3 years old in byped terms. I guess you could say we have a May-September arrangement. Roscoe's mom was a Lab but no idea about his dad. He has an obnoxious amount of energy and loves it when the biped tosses a small round object he can run after. He prefers that to physical contact. What bipeds call petting. I love to play mind games with him. For instance he buried a faux bone thingy in some straw in the dog house and for a couple of days I would not let him back in to get it.
He has sort of a tragic background. His mother had her litter under a vacant house nearby. When her biped found out where she was he loaded her and all the pups he could find into a truck and carried them to the Humane Society. Missed Roscoe who stayed there by himself for 10 days. So he is one tough dog.
One thing I cannot understand about him is that he loves water. The closest I will get to water is in a small container to drink. Our biped got him a small pool and the highlight of his day is to run jump in that pool of water. I guess it takes all kinds.
